EMPLOYMENT

The Lincoln Lodge is a non-profit theater based in Chicago, IL, home to the nation’s longest running independent standup comedy showcase.  Our newly constructed space houses three separate theaters, two classrooms and a podcasting space, as well as a full bar.  We provide live comedy seven nights a week and are proud to be a cornerstone of the Chicago comedy community. PART-TIME SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR 

The Lincoln Lodge is seeking a part-time (16 hrs/week at $22/hr) Social Media & Marketing Coordinator who will assist in the management and publishing of social content across various Lincoln Lodge platforms. This position will collaborate with the Training Center Coordinator to produce engaging content and execute the Lincoln Lodge brand strategy across the theater’s owned channels. They will pitch ideas to write and execute on social platforms, and work closely to monitor analytics and help the brand reach its goals. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit and publish content for Instagram, Twitter and Facebook including coverage and information regarding shows, classes and events at The Lincoln Lodge theater. 

  • Assist with curating and managing content calendars for all social channels.

  • Track and analyze social media performance

  • Work with Tight Five Productions Board to develop unique campaigns and promotions that mutually advance theater and partner goals

  • Stay on top of emerging trends and technology, especially within comedy and entertainment fields 

  • Execute other related duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a media-related field, preferably in Marketing, Communications or Photography

  • 2-3 years of experience in social media (internship or full-time)

  • Proven record of optimizing content and campaigns

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of comedy and the history of the Lincoln Lodge 

  • Interpersonal skills – listens to others, works well in a team environment

  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.

  • Is a self-starter, can prioritize work activities and use time efficiently

  • Adaptability – reacts well to change in the work environment, manages competing demands

  • Dependability – consistently on time, follows instructions, responds to manager’s instructions

  • Strong computer skills
